Is Trump confused?

That’s really funny! I missed that.

Nobody knows her last name.

“The September 4th debate” only exists in Trump’s imagination. There’s no event for her to show up to or not.

That was exactly my thought when I read @aurora_maire 's post.

Has Fox said anything specifically denying that they will host a September 4 debate? Or are they just not saying anything one way or the other about it?

It would be all kinds of awesome if Fox does nothing, and September 4 comes and goes with no debate-related activities whatsoever.

Aren’t you interested in if Harris has been consulted about it?
Trump doesn’t get to just declare shit.

He will say, She refused to show up for the first debate, so now I’m not showing up at the Sept. 10th one!

And yet he just declares shit all the time. Look at the helicopter incident, where he got his fellow passengers confused.

How many Presidents, when millions face potentially disastrous weather and might sensibly need to make plans, would modify the predicted hurricane path with a Sharpie? If that is not sociopathy, maybe it is manifestation?

Trump puts the “Duh” in Dunning-Kruger.

Trump has a deranged belief that all he has to do is declare something to be true and everyone will fall over themselves to make it so in order to please him.

“Just say the election was rigged”
“Just say you recalculated and found 11,780 votes”
“Just say we’ll have a healthcare plan in two weeks”
“Just say Ukraine is going to prosecute Biden”
“Just say we’re having a debate on Fox News”

Etc.

Yes. But that seems lost on people. That fucker isn’t fooling me.

Was that question directed (perhaps with a tinge of admonishment) at me? With Discourse it is hard to tell.

Anyway, I’ll answer just in case: I assume Harris has not been consulted and won’t be, although if she is consulted, I hope that fact is reported along with her response, as I am sure it will be.

Thoughts on Harris’s role in the matter does not preclude curiosity about what Fox has to say.

At this point, Trump has announced shit. Nothing more. Wow.
Of course Faux wants a debate, and will even play along as though there were one. Wow, again.

He’s Michael Scott on The Office declaring bankruptcy.

“Hey, I just wanted you to know that you can’t just say the word ‘bankruptcy’ and expect anything to happen.”

“I didn’t say it, I declared it.”

After all this time, the depth of his mental issues still astounds me.

This brought a Kipling poem to mind:

Here we sit in a branchy row,
Thinking of beautiful things we know;
Dreaming of deeds that we mean to do,
All complete, in a minute or two –
Something noble and grand and good,
Won by merely wishing we could.

And what makes it particularly relevant to Trump:

By the rubbish in our wake, and the noble noise we make,
Be sure, be sure, we’re going to do some splendid things!

Trump can not handle that Harris is getting crowds. He thinks they are AI.

@Deplorable59 also told Trump to “STFU about the crowd size.”

“She’s getting bigger crowds now face that fact. You’re gonna lose this!” the user wrote on Sunday. “Stop with this bulls— - get out on the road. Talk to the people-don’t talk about her personally. Talk about the issues and what you will do to change things. You’re our only hope - you gotta stop screwing it up!

Something tells me Deplorable59 slept through the last Trump Presidency.

His fixation on crowd size is so bizarre and pathological. Like okay, let’s compare Obama and Biden’s crowds. One probably had bigger crowds than the other. If I had to guess I’d say Obama drew bigger crowds. But if someone dropped science on me to prove Biden was drawing bigger audiences for his events, I’d take it at face value and would not be bothered by it. Nor would the knowledge that one President had smaller crowds than another diminish that individual. But Trump absolutely cannot handle the idea that anyone could possible have a bigger crowd than him. What contest are you trying to win with this, Donald? What prize do you get?
