You’re new in the Elections forum, aren’t you?
No, I am not new in the Elections forum. I have the (probably futile) hope that **doorhinge ** might answer a simple question, which was presented in a civil manner.
Getting back to the official thread topic, I’ll note that the latest PPP poll has Trump at 29%, confirming the Q-poll from last week that had him at 28%. If anything’s hurting him, it isn’t showing up in the poll numbers. (What was that about his having a ceiling of 25%? Maybe not.)
And Ben Carson had 12% in the Q-poll and 15% in PPP. Everyone else was in single digits in both, including John Ellis Bush.
Those are the only major national polls since mid-August - no cherry-picking here, just in case anyone wonders.
Just with the women I would think …
He’s out in front now and makes good for talking on CNN and other news shows (everyone wants to know what Trump is saying)
But it is all about the party and no one will know till the republicans meet next July.
If Donald Trump loses the GOP nomination he will have very little time to run as an independent candidate with the South Carolina legal ruling that you must be for the republican candidate that wins the nomination.
Donald Trump could very well end up saying I could’ve been a winner … :smack:
Which question? The one were another member is asking me if it’s OK for them to start a thread?
doorhinge, this is the question that I would like for you to answer. Do you, in fact, believe that Fox News, in general, is doing “reporting”?
Kareem Abdul Jabaar has a thoughtful editorial in the Washington Post about the differences between Trump and Sanders and the way they handle challenges.
Trump offered a less than thoughtful response.
Is it just me…or is Trump’s response to Jabaar’s editorial even more incoherent than his usual gibberings? I mean, there’s two sentences that make no sense.
- The part about the media treating Kareem badly*
- The part about Kareem doesn’t know how to fix America.
There’s an implied “Because” between those two sentences. The media doesn’t like Trump and it’s one of the pillars of his campaign: the media is biased against Trump (he thinks) because the media is full of lefties who hate him. Kareem hates Trump too. Therefore…the media hates Kareem? For agreeing with them? Bwah?
*Since when? He was always a “good” athlete, not a “naughty” athlete.
I’ve read several pieces that he’s written in the past few years, and I’m always impressed by his clarity and thoughtfulness. This was no exception. The guy’s more than just a good airline pilot. ![]()
Well, knock me over with a feather - who would have expected that?! ![]()
And then it ends with “best wishes”.
Maybe, just maybe, you should start another thread instead of hijacking this one? Or, maybe, you could enable kenobi 65 to start the thread of his dreams? Or not?
(post shortened)
As Jabbar wrongfully points out - Later, after Trump had blamed her attitude on her menstrual cycle,…
Since Jabbar can’t get the facts straight, I’m not impressed by Jabbar’s clarity and thoughtfulness.
Jabbar clearly has more class than Trump, though.
Done. So, you have no more excuses not to answer the reasonable questions that were asked. I even included a link to that very thread!
Jabbar is a liar. How is that classy? What is your comparison? The rude and obnoxious Ramos?
*I’m not gonna be ignored!
- Glenn Close or Jorge Ramos*

Maybe Jabbar should have led with that ol’ standard - I don’t know the facts, but…
Looks like Ramos is still wrong.
“You’re not a news man anymore,” O’Reilly said of Ramos, “you’re an advocate now”
O’Reilly is correct. Ramos gave up his “news guy” status and has become an advocate.
And that’s true. Neither are legitimate journalists: they’re both advocates who pretend to be journalists.
Yep, still IYHO. ![]()
And the Trump campaign continues to be devastatingly damaged by, well, nothing, as the latest Monmouth poll has him at 30%. Ben Carson’s at 18%, Bush and Cruz are tied for third place at 8%, and nobody else is above 5%.
Don’t crush those dwarfs, hand me the pliers!
Jabbar didn’t cheat at basketball like Trump cheats at golf.
Trump takes a gimme for a chip. One of his playing partners says on a cheating scale of 1-10, Trump is an 11.
How can a cheater be classy?
