If skunkweed is a flavor, maybe. I don’t know on what planet he handled it well. Even if Ramos asked a question out of turn, if someone feels that passionately about something to ask a question before being called on, answer the damn thing. When he came back and actually talked to the guy, Trump started off with nonsense about gangs. It was all very amateurish on Trump’s part. I commend the other reporters for asking why he wouldn’t answer Ramos and finally shamed him into inviting him back in.
In the corridor outside the conference, Ramos was accosted by a Trump supporter, demanding that he leave his country. Typical Trump supporter.
Since you are certainly smart enough to know what “literally” means, can you please cite to some evidence that Ramos plead to be let back in (instead of being invited back in). I can’t find it.
I was entirely predisposed to side with Ramos, but I think Trump behaved just fine. Ramos was asking questions without being called on and therefore disrupting. Trump had him removed and then let him back in. He then allowed Ramos to essentially debate with him for an extended interval–something you would almost never see in this context.
I think Trump is an awful human being, but the Ramos thing has no substance.
I also thought Trump gave a pretty good performance. He might be harder for the GOP to defeat than they think, which of course brings me great joy.
Trump’s handling of Ramos was a thing of beauty. Ramos came out looking like an unprofessional asshole. Trump walked all over him. Watch Trump get a boost in the polls.
Well thanks for that acknowledgment, but I wish you guys would be consistent. Other Trump supporters insist that Trump did not know who he was.
Of course because you are correct it means that Trump then lied to reporters and to the American people when he did tell all that he did not know who Ramos was.
Except of course on the part where he resorted to the Pinocchio lie that he did not know who Ramos was. I already know that Trump dissed Ramos on his instagram weeks ago.
Oh, and then Trump’s answers were still with no substance.
I did agree in other posts that Ramos was out of line, but Trump being rattled by other reporters was what I did notice.
I also do agree with you that the longer this goes this will be more damaging to the Republican party, so indeed:
“My husband had to convince me to come today,” said Donna Nicksic, who drove five hours from Indiana to see Trump. “I didn’t think he had the ability to win. I thought he has no filter and I thought that would hurt him.”
But she walked away a believer, despite being offended by his attacks on Kelly.
“He’s authentic, he’s genuine, he won’t be influenced by the lobbyists. I think that’s vital,” she said. “I think it’s better to make mistakes in the things that you say rather than being so careful to say the right things.”
Which is honesty. The other politicians are lying about their feelings.
Stuff and nonsense. If Megyn Kelly had treated your favorite candidate the way she treated Trump you’d be complaining about her. Somehow when it’s Trump suddenly she’s a journalist instead of a liar and muckraker.
Indeed. I think he contradicted himself in the press conference itself, later indicating that he knew Ramos was personally named or otherwise involved in his suit against Univision.
Ramos/Univision - they should follow Trump’s appearances and continue to act like assholes. That will definitely promote the Hispanic illegal immigrants’ cause.
BTW, years of watching Univision has showed me that their editors and reports were very reactionary and conservative, but the immigration issue has been an item that has made many Hispanic conservatives to stop supporting the Republicans and the tone in the Hispanic news has changed a lot from a few years back.
I do think that what was going on in the head of Trump was the realization that there was no turning back and that most Hispanics were going to get very partial accounts of the encounter and his immigration ideas, so he had to relent when reporters reminded him about the reach of Univision and he had to give his “human version”. As pointed before the replies of Trump had no substance.
What the Republican party did in reality was to kiss good bye to a good number of conservative Hispanics.
If those “conservative Hispanics” are pro-illegal-immigration, good riddance. And what Trump just did, in reality, was welcome in millions of potential voters who hate the robotic, oh-so-careful politicians, are disenchanted with US politics, and don’t consider illegal immigrants a taboo subject.
Keep it coming, good for them to get a refresher course of why they should not follow the Republican party now, maybe after the crushing Republican defeat with Trump it will be when they will consider joining the Republicans again, and I already noted that most of the reports in Hispanic media are nowadays related to the abuses that are happening now to Hispanics, and not only the illegals, under the abuse of power coming from guys like Trump’s fellow traveler Arpaio.
It is not really a taboo subject, but to poke Hispanics with a stick will not lead Hispanics to support Trump or their low information ignorant supporters, just about the main reasons why many Republicans are telling us why is that they will not support Trump.
Hahahaha. Remember when someone claimed that Trump was thin-skinned? I’ve noticed that Trump doesn’t suffer fools gladly and hits back. Democrats whine about that fact. Democrats have a need to whine about everything except Hillary. I’ve also noticed that Conservatives don’t seem to care what Democrats claim or whine about.
Trump is not thin-skinned, but the Democrats are desperate for just one more thing to hate about. I’ve noticed that the media outlets still can’t stop talking about all-things-Trump.
Who is this “we’ve” that you referred to? I’d like to know who I’m responding to.
