they have been together 20 years now, people need to let this go. Unless you were there you don’t know how the relationship was with the family and how she viewed it. Or how much time they actually spent together. Frankly, it’s none of our business anyway. This has gotten enough public attention for the past 20 years if there was something truly wrong with it by now, someone would have “rescued” her from this.

I do not like this linking of the D/s sexual dynamic with relationships. It’s not the same thing as the natural leader dynamic or the forcefulness of someone’s personality. It’s much more extreme. A dom is a controlling asshole, and a sub is a codependent doormat. What makes this acceptable is that it’s a form of sexual roleplay that both sides have agreed to.
Heck, a lot of people with a more forceful personality prefer being subs and people who feel like they are just drones enjoy it as a form of powerplay. In fact, I’ve never met a dom who wasn’t a generally nice person.
Yet, in the bedroom, doms will “punish” you for being “bad.” That would be abuse in real life!
I know that it’s common in the D/s community to link these things, but I just do not think they are the same thing at all.
