I’ve just come accross a forum called WordReference. It’s almost a mirror image of Straight Dope. Is it affiliated ? Is it a copy ? It shouldn’t be permitted. SD is so efficient its style should be registered.

I don’t see any resemblance, other than a superficial similarity in the color scheme. If that’s not it, post a link, please.
I found the forum you’re referring to (I won’t post alink, since usually that’s a no-no,) but I don’t see anything leading me to believe it’s a copy. Maybe I have the wrong forum? This one is mostly about grammar and translation. I do know that the SDMB has had problems in the past ith other boards copying us, though, and if you suspect that this is happening, send an email to an administrator with a link to the forum.

That’s the one. I didn’t mean there would be any problem with SDMB. Just noted the similarity in presentation. I’m not familiar with other forums though.
