Oh, you don’t care for my manners? I’m not crazy about yours. I didn’t ask to see you. I don’t mind if you don’t like my manners, I don’t like them myself. They’re pretty bad. I grieve over them on long winter evenings.
Well, as they say, no good deed goes unpunished, eh?
Demand respect?..
<The Smiths> …You just haven’t earned it yet, baby… you just haven’t earned it my son.</TS>
Wait a minute, we didn’t ask you to post your poison. Nobody twisted your arm. Sorry if you feel your time wasn’t well spent. Most of us quite enjoyed it, though.
No, the goal was to fight your well displayed ignorance. But in your case, we couldn’t even bring you to water.
Please return when your fearless leader goes down in flames. I personally would enjoy rubbing salt in your raw wounds. Bring your brown shirted #Trumpeteers with you. The more the merrier.
We quite enjoyed your stay. The comic relief was priceless. I do hope you return. If you’d like an argument, please post in GD. Abuse and Hitting on the Head rooms are in the Pit. But you’re already familiar with that, aren’t you?
The irony is strong with this one.
Sorry we failed to appropriately salute and fawn over your Fuhrer Trump. You and the rest of the Trumpeteers can toss off to him on your own time.
I know this thread is basically over, but I’d like to point out that, even if we somehow, magically, got into a true “war against Islam”, wars are almost never as simple as one religion or ideology vs another. I’d point to the 30 Years War, where Catholic France joined on the side of the protestants basically for no reason other than they wanted to dick over Austria/Spain/the Habsburgs.
If such a war broke out, there’s absolutely no guarantee it would stay Islam vs Non-Islam for any length of time, or even that a third or fourth opportunistic faction opposed to both the “Western” and “Islamic” factions (perhaps consisting of China or Russia) wouldn’t take advantage of the opening.
(And this is all even assuming that somehow there could be a real “Muslim faction” that would form, which is a stretch to begin with).
What does the Middle East show us? That extreme Muslims hate different Muslims more than they hate non-Muslims. Islam is 700 years younger than Christianity. Even in the past hundred years you can see significant conflict between Protestants and Catholics. To be fair, we should give the Middle East a few more centuries to get its shit together.
Frankly, I’m appalled that y’all’s relentless teasing and flaming drove Blinkenundpinken from the site. “True atheist Muslims”? Stealing the Ka’aba? President Trump? Such pure and sincere whackdoodlery is a rare treasure, to be cherished and encouraged, if only to see how far from the real world it is possible to live. I feel kinda like I did when Robin Williams died: a golden source of comedy has been taken from us.
However, I can’t imagine that he’d have stuck around much longer in any case; WiFi must be spotty at best, out at the wildlife refuge.
Where did he advocate genocide in that post? All I saw was a rehash of what a bunch of people are already saying, and that is that Islam is going to reap the consequences of its actions.
He did use a qualifier of not advocating genocide at this point in time, and listing it as a hypothetical. I’m not speaking for anyone else but me, but I can see how his usage of at this moment could be interpreted as him saying that he’s okay with the notion.
He was using the tried-and-true dog whistle method. Sure, he wasn’t actually advocating for genocide. He was just predicting it will happen, and through that and other posts, made it pretty clear that he’d be happy with it happening and we’ll be in big trouble if it doesn’t happen. But lord no, he wasn’t advocating.
