It finally happenned!

I heard that it was for “shooter’s view”.

It’s easy to see from shade to light, and hard to see from light into shade. It’s easier still to see from light into light. To avoid distortions and create a clearer view for a shot, the hat is turned around so the visor is in back so as to get rid of the shadow on the shooter’s face.

I think that this is total BS, but if people believe it, and they want to LOOK like they are a modern-day urban sniper they will follow the fashion. Please re-read the posts above by Danalan re: getting the police to harrass, etc.

Thanks for the repair Zenster. Sorry about the eyes though, I guess there’s no accounting for taste. The funny thing is, I previewed twice to make sure I had the coding right. I must have been tired. Sigh…
Rosebud, anybody who likes zoot suits is, in my books, one happenin’ hepcat.

LouisB:

Not just kids. I’m 34. But I’m younger than my father (obviously), which was my only point about the ball caps.

I wear the cap for the same reason anyone would wear any hat. But sometimes the bill obstructs my vision, or makes it difficult to see my eyes if I’m having a conversation with someone (eye contact is very important, you know).

Sometimes it’s very sunny out, and I want extra protection for the back of my neck.

So I turn the cap around.

I’m working on convincing my kids that you can drive your parents just as nuts with clothing and hairstyles as with tattoos and piercings, and they’re a lot less permanent. I somehow doubt it’ll work, but it’s worth a try. I figure I’ve got about 4 more years to put it across.
