It is not a choice (Homosexuality)

A language nitpick, Mr.Vis: It isn’t “polygamy or polyandry”. Polyandry is a subtype of polygamy. (Sort of; technically, I’m not polygamous because I only have one marriage, but I do have two male mates, and am thus polyandrous.) Polygamy is a gender-neutral word.
The conflation irritates me too, massively. Not only because I agree with you that it’s a red herring, but because whenever I hear someone waving their sacred book and intoning, “. . . polygamy” as if it’s some great horror, I want to say, “. . . and?” It infuriates me that these folks don’t think that they have to support their position.

Um, necrophilia-a corpse can’t consent, d’uh.

I suppose that the problem people have with drawing a distinction between gay marriage and polygamous marriage is that neither fits the “standard” model of one male/one female marriage.

You can not control you who are attracted to, or who you fall for. But you can control whether or not you act on those impulses. That is what seperates us from animals.
In my thought, what two (or more) consenting adults do in their own home is not any of my business

Really? That’s all that separates human beings from animals? The ability to not act on our sexual impulses?

I thought it had more to do with the human ability to dream, and to turn those dreams into reality with our minds and hands. To take reality, and make poetry of it, to see beauty, and to convey our impressions of it to each other by means of language and art.

Now I know, though; the only thing that makes me any different from a 'possum is my ability to decide where I stick my pecker. How… enlightening.

Yep.

An appeal to simple reasonableness informs us that both skydiving and homosexuality are hoaxes of the first order. Either activity is too absurd to take seriously.

Yes, both groups claim to have photographic evidence of their unbelievable behavior, but photos can be faked.

It’s time to quit fooling around with hoaxes.

But what if I get a really good sense of color in the deal?
