It only took 23 years for me to give up on you, Knicks

You’re right, I’m not. And I’m not surprised at what you’re saying, given the Isaiah of today. But I think David Stern fed him to the press as a golden boy back then, and that’s the story that reached me. Besides, I would have thought Chicago was biased, so I probably would have believed Stern. […shrug…] Politics. It’s everywhere.

Bernard who? King? Comparing him to Magic and Bird is akin to comparing Tom Glavine with Tom Candiotti. Yes, they played the same sport. Yes, they both had good seasons. But career? Not even remotely the same, barely even in the same arena.

St. Joseph’s. Mark Aguirre went to Westinghouse (along with about 10 other NBA players.)

You’re right…Isiah Thomas should immediately be transferred over to serve as the new GM of the Rangers. I’d really like to see his “effective” brand of management transferred over to the NHL!

For me, the time to give up on the Knicks is when they offer Allan Houston a 6 year/100 million dollar contract. Ask my brother what my reaction to that was…it was a combination of laughter and utter disbelief.

Another mystifying move was to take on the Salary of Jalen Rose. I was working at the ACC preparing for a Raps game that day and the entire building was giddy with the fact that the interim managed to unload that contract.

Yeah Dolan and Isaiah are assholes and this probably clearly isn’t going to fix itself until Dolan’s gone though. Thomas is easy enough to get rid of but I don’t expect Dolan will be going anywhere because, much like the Leafs, they make money no matter what.

I have less of a problem with Starbury though. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I would never in a million years want him on my team, but he is who he is and this whole nonsense shouldn’t have shocked anyone. Look what happened to the Nets right after they traded him for Kidd. This is more on the shoulders of the owner and GMs.

I know all about giving up on a team due to off the court problems. I boycotted my Trailblazers a while back. I’m a fan again now that they have made serious attempts to clean up their act though.

One of the absolute worst calls in NBA history. Right up there with the phantom foul on Pip.

It was “meh” to me. What you find interesting about the NBA is your own business.
