I only use flower during the winter months, as my hippy auntie in Modesto won’t grow it in the summer — too hot. She charges loved ones $100 an ounce plus shipping, so a way better deal than retail here in Missouri. I don’t care to smoke flower so I make firecrackers instead. Taste like shit and get you high AF. During the hotter (by Modesto standards) months — viz, now — I buy oil cartridges from my favorite dispensary.
On Friday I stopped in after work and bought a couple of cartridges, and for their 4/20 special they gave me a gram of top shelf flower as a lagniappe.
So I’m about ten minutes, for the first time ever, I’m going to eat a homemade edible with top shelf retail bud. I’ll report back later.
I bought a few strains, some oldies like Acapulco Gold and White Widow. I also got a new strain from a producer that I really like, it’s called Royal Ace #4: Goofiez, and it is very tasty.
Not weed, but I’ve been planning for some time to do psilocybin shrooms in a legal region - once my inflammation goes down and my blood-brain-barrier heals first.
This is not specifically about a personal celebration of 4/20, but this thread seemed the best place to post a link to a Bluesky thread by Mark Hamill. Why? Because he posted a few pics of Scary Easter Bunnies, and dozens of others posted more. I guarantee a least a few genuine guffaw-out-loud moments* for most who view these:
