It snowed this week!

Although this may not mean much to many of you, it means quite a bit to me.

Having just moved to Minnesota after living in South Texas all my life, I’ve never lived in snow. Last night, it started really coming down, and I felt the need to just go outside and take it all in. I wrote things in the snow, and caught snowflakes on my tongue. I finally came back in at 1:15 this morning.

I’ve decided that I like snow.

This too shall pass…

Better go buy the biggest, meanest snowblower you can afford right now!

Get a couple of snow shovels while you’re at it, a snow broom for your car and keep one of those shovels in your trunk, along with a 50 pound bag of generic cat litter.

You’ll thank me in due time.

Duckster speaks wisely. I’ve lived in Michigan my entire life, and trust me, he’s not kidding.

I, however don’t own a snowblower. I like to do it the old fashioned way with a shovel. However, unless you have a very strong back, I do NOT recommend this method. Especially with “lake effect snow”. I have a feeling you’ll learn about that soon. It comes down fast, steady, and weighs about ten times what normal snow does.

But I still love winter. Enjoy!
