Bob Anderson, who played the young George Bailey in It’s A Wonderful Life, has died at the age of 75.
Oh, what a shame. That scene where the pharmacist slaps his sore ear always makes me cry…especially when he begs the pharmacist not to hit him again.
Did you see this part?
I did. So he really did hurt the kid’s ear, and they kept filming? Yikes! That’s either callous disregard or some dedicated actors there!
Sounds like he wasn’t entirely acting then, after the pharmacist hit him.
I only learned of this today. Did a Search and found this. Missed it before. The wife and I watch *It’s a Wonderful Life * every December. Both of us hold it as a favorite. Hard to believe he was 75, he’s been so young for so long.
RIP, Bob.
Creepy, I was just reading something the other day that was talking about him as one of (if not the only) surviving cast members of It’s A Wonderful Life.
Creepier still, your name is Bailey.
Zuzu’s still alive, though! Karolyn Grimes. Turns 68 in two weeks.
