Thanks for the link. It’s amazing how naive everyone was in those first moments. There was a lot of speculation that morning!
I used that very thread to keep track of what was happening that day. I was at work and didn’t have access to TV or radio. All I had was internet access and all the major news sites were failing under the stress of people trying to find the latest news.

I tried to find the post, but maybe it was in a different thread. Someone commented on how the Bush administration would use this as an excuse to start a war. Someone else shot back something like “How dare you accuse good politicians of trying to use this event for political gain?!?”
We were SO naive back then. 
I remember that thread. I had the TV on, the radio on, (listening to Howard Stern actually), was at the computer…

That thread is how I found out about the attacks.
I was fairly new to the 'Dope at the time, and I was watching the whole ordeal unfold live by streaming the BBC coverage at work.
It’s so weird to visit that page, knowing minute by minute what was going on in hindsight, what I was doing at the time, and yet hearing the “voices” of many I’m now so familiar with over the intervening decade create a dialog of confusion, worry, anger and horror… it’s like looking back in time.
