It wasn’t a coup

Funny, in an “it’s the end of the world” kind of way.

I get that, and I know a lot of Southerners and rednecks. I’m also getting my share of feed from some of them.

Oh I get that. He wants to speak to the people he’s trying to reach in a voice they will hear.

“It was Trump’s idea!”

As they forget his idea was originally for $2,000.

Well, it is $1,400 + the original $600, which is $2,000. But I hesitate to give them credit for understanding math.

Tell them that if the new check isn’t signed by Trump, it is fake, and they should tear it up.

Unfortunately, most will be coming by direct deposit, I assume.

Just want to wrap up this thread… with the release of Mark Meadow’s PowerPoint presentation detailing the reasons and action plans for the coup, I don’t want the OP, @Sitnam, to remain confused on this point:

(Double click rules - link takes to a tweet which has the link to Meadows’ plan.)

No real punishment for any of this by anyone. The republicans have doubled down on The Big Lie and the democrats are fucking useless. The next coup attempt will work.

Wait. I’m confused. Who controls Dominion and ES&S? The powerpoint seems to indicate Venezuela and President Chavez. Later, it says that China and the CCP have done the nefarious deeds.

Which is it?

The only thing they know for sure is that the GOP isn’t behind it.

Probably the Mole-men are overseeing it all.

I’m going with reverse vampires and saucer people.

Now I’m intrigued. How would this even work? They feed by spitting on people?

I think they were vampires that walked around during the day rather than at night, but I haven’t seen that episode in a while.

Back to the OP, it was definitely a coup attempt.

I just . . . the whole thing is moronic.

Like almost everything to come out of the Republican party in recent memory, I object first not because of policy or philosophy, but because it is incoherent at best.

The fact that this represents the kind of “work” and “thinking” that millions find valuable and don’t recognize for the illogical and disconnected babbling it is is one of the most disheartening things I’ve come to realize in the Trump/post-Trump era.

Kinda why I no longer “hold out hope” sorta thing.

I can see where it comes from, though.

They believe that everything against Trump was simply a fabrication in the Steele report, and that Democrats completely believe everything in it.

Therefore, they can just make shit up out of whole cloth, and use it as their basis of belief that the election was stolen.

But even that would be incoherent: “If you all are going to believe a lie [Steele report], then two can play at that game; we’re going to craft our own lies and believe them just as hard as you believe your lies, so there!”

I mean, what even is that?

Maybe they pump blood into people.

Believe it or not, there’s an Urban Dictionary entry on this. RitterSport has it right.

It’s a metaphor. But it actually happened.

Or “Vanilla ISIS”.
