I’m a 17 year old virgin, and I highly doubt it’s STD’s anyways. But the “front” part of my testicles and bottom part of the base of my penis get really itchy sometimes. I imagine it’s a rash of some kind, is there a cream or something I should be using? The itching can get really really frustrating, and given the sensitive nature of the area as it is, I don’t think scratching is really a good idea (as it is for mosquito bites )
Sounds like a simple case of jock itch. Go to the pharmacy and look in the foot-care section. (The treatment is usually the same as that for athletes foot.)
Could be a heat rash - I get them in the groin if I’m really hot. If it is, wear loose fitting clothes for a few days, wash well, and use a soothing anaesthetic cream like Sudocrem or something. Hibiscrub is good to wash in too.
Usual disclaimers apply!
Get some Cruex (or another product with the same ingredients). You might also find that hydrocortisone cream (another readilly available OTC product) will work. Also keep some Gold Bond powder around to help keep the area dry and prevent chafing. if you are a hippie, use corn starch.
It’s just one of those manly things that happen.
I understand that Gold Bond medicated powder works well for “male itch.” I haven’t tried it myself but I’ve always been meaning to.
Kid, you got the makings of a great baseball player.
Yeah when I was a virgin I had an insatiable itch down there too. Always rubbin’ away trying to ease the pain
I would look for diaper cream - Penaten might work well.
Gold Bond has a “cooling” property that you might find irritating down there.
…and it could be diabetes.
It’s Jock Itch. Get Tough Actin’ Tinactin
It’s in the gross itchy ailments section of your nearest drugstore or grocery.
If the over-the-counter stuff for jock itch doesn’t work, it might be a hardier fungus. You might have to see the doctor to get relief.
Well if you can cure athlete’s foot by peeing in the shower…
I was going to post some links, but the mods would’ve kicked my ass.
So…do your own Google search under Google images for tinea cruris.
What the hell…do it at work. Even if the system administrator sees it they won’t fuck with you. Just walk into his office ‘scratchin the package’ and he’ll order you back out ASAP.
Aaahhh!
Don’t bother with Tinactin or Cruex.
Their active ingredients(Tinactin: Tolnaftate, Cruex: Undecylenic Acid) aren’t nearly as effective as some of the more modern antifungals, such as Lamisil(terbinafine), Lotrimin AF(clotrimazole), Lotrimin Ultra/Mentax (butenafine), and Micatin/Monistat(miconazole).
Probably the most recent of those are Lamisil & Lotrimin Ultra. In particular, Lamisil has a 1-week dosage for jock/dhobie itch in the OTC products.
I understand that Gold Bond medicated powder works well for “male itch.”
I strongly urge you NOT to apply Goldbond to the naughty-bits region. I had a nasty allergic reaction, probably to the menthol. The reaction was so bad by the end of the day that I sent myself to the emergency room where a collection of doctors and nurses looked at my private parts with undisguised horror.
I’m also highly allergic to plant oils and nickel, so this may explain my unusual sensitivity to the stuff. I can use it on my feet without any problem, though.
Hmm… that first sentence should have quote tags.
Mine has the sign reading

I guess we shop at different stores.
Try the anti-fungals before the anti-itch and cooling stuff. I love Gold Bond but god yes, the chemicals in them that give that “cooling” feeling are painful when absorbed through rashy or raw skin. I can’t imagine the deliciously focused pain involved in applying Gold Bond to the raw underside of a penis.
Not my penis, mind you. Just …a penis.
Um. Anyway…
