It's a lovely spring day

And we’re out in the garden enjoying the sun and the beautiful spring plants. Everything is growing like the clappers after a wet August. The flowering cherries look particularly spectacular:

It’s also the start of snake season. I saw this guy today.

Just curious: do any of you Ozzies (can a Yank use that term?) either yourself or one of your friends commute back and forth over the Equator?

I could imagine that becoming second nature as you move from autumn to spring, or summer to winter and all that.

Yeah, it’s gorgeous at the moment. Good to see the blossoms haven’t blown off the trees yet.

Zeldar, Aussies don’t really commute across the equator - it’s a long way.

Many parts of Australia don’t experience distinct seasons. It is more pronounced inland and at higher elevations especially where introduced deciduous trees are planted.

I met a few people who spend summer in Australia/New Zealand, the summer in Europe every year. It’s definitely crossing the equator!

Maybe I should houseshare. Summer in Sydney is too hot and humid for my tastes. You end up having to go to those big indoor shopping complexes or go to the beach, and put up with sand and sunscreen.

It’s been stunningly-beautiful here, too.

For sure. 27 degrees at the end of September is almost unprecedented. (Ottawa)
