(Old) It's a matter of taste in the MMP

One of my cow-orkers was out (sick?) today, and my manager went home at 14:00. Fortunately, it was not a busy day. I did have two people, one in drive-up and one on the phone, who I had to help minutes before closing. I put the caller on hole and helped the person in front of me, then took care of the former. Past due on a loan, the collections person gone for the day, etc. We left a little late today.

The Spousal Unit got Thai food for dinner. She suggested I have Thai BBQ chicken, which is good and plentiful. I hinted I’d rather have my usual Yum Beef salad. She got the chicken. Only… I had Trader Joe’s Just Chicken with Sriracha sauce for lunch. Still good, though.

Wifey got lemon grass chicken. Now, I am forbidden to share my dinner with Goo, because Goo has a thyroid problem (she’s going to the vet for a blood draw tomorrow). So Goo took it upon herself to steak two pieces of Catmom’s lemon chicken from her uncovered container. She apparently just licked them and gnawed on the ends. But there’s two pieces of excellent chicken in the trash. And she got sauce all over the run that Catmom had just washed yesterday. The rug needs to be washed again.

We’re shorthanded at irk. The guy who started a week after I did ghosted. We have a temp person, but she’s not taking on full MSR (Member Service Representative) duties. We’re changint over to a new operating system in the coming months, so TPTB don’t want to train someone on the existing system only to have them have to learn the new system. (We’ve undergone training on the new system. How much will stick, I don’t know.) And once of the Financial Service Representatives (FSR) left for a position at an Edward Jones office today. After three months, I’m comfortable with most of my duties. There are others that happen infrequently enough that I still need assistance. Also, two of us MSRs do not have access to the system to see credit card transactions, because of the upcoming changes.

The old insulation has been cleaned out of the attic. New insulation will be installed tomorrow. (I assume 'mostly installed.) And the vet visit is at 13:30.
