Well, which way do you idiots want it? Either Clinton was aware that OBL was a danger to the US and did nothing…or he didn’t place much emphasis on capturing/killing him, but *still * found it necessary to tell Bush how dangerous he was.

Maybe, just maybe, Clinton thought Osama warranted close watching but not murder, which is precisely what he had the CIA do - watch closely, but don’t take out. That’s what it’s turned into since 2001. AQ is still dangerous, but probably not capable of a major international attack like September 11th. In part, it still exists because Bin Laden has become a mythologized hero. That wouldn’t have happened if he’d been taken out years ago.
