I’m in the mood for a dark, creepy video game for PC. Got one?

I’m a fan of the System Shock games, though I dunno how much fuss you’ll have to go through to get them to run in Vista, I do know that both ran in XP with some doing (IIRC, the original System Shock, a DOS game, could be made to work in DOSBox or by replacing the exe with a fan-patched one, and System Shock 2, a Win98 game, required a patch to run in Windows XP and has some fanpatches available that touch up the graphics and such)

Other than that, the Ravenholme level of Half Life 2 is doing it for me right now. Freaking poison headcrabs!

I’d say check out Portal from Valve. Not really a horror game, but they’ve got the “Something is very wrong” general mood setting down pretty pat, plus it’s just generally an awesomely fun and darkly funny game.

Along with the System Shocks, I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned the recently hyped to all get out Bioshock.
