It's happening! It's happening! Royal baby

Harry’s gonna be the “fun uncle,” isn’t he?

You betcha!

If not George, then I’m voting for Frederick. I think that name should come back into vogue - it really is a great name.

Long live King Fred!

I wonder if any other British parents who had baby boys today will be waiting to see what the royal tot will be named, so they can either copy, or be assured of not copying, the kid’s name.

My father’s given first name was, on the birth certificate, Herbert. But so many people assumed he was being named for the President that my grandparents switched his names around, and had the certificate amended so his first name was different. They’d given their children two middle names, so they didn’t have to come up with something new.

This story has the birth announcement:

It apparently requires four signatures for a British Royal Baby to be born. God help them if one isn’t present.

It’s alive!

I think they should name him Sighs. Prince Sighs.

That way, if he ever becomes King . . .

How is the baby related to Montbatten? (Is he?)

The rest of the world can then lighten up.

the Queen expressed great joy in not having her vacation messed up.

Lord Mountbatten’s parents are some of the baby’s great-great-great-grandparents.

You can be sure that there is no shortage of people staring right into the duchess’s hoohah as she crowns.

Which one?

Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, was the nephew of the Lord Louis Mountbatten that was the last Viceroy of India, the same guy who was blown up on his boat.

So the kid is the great-great-great-nephew of that guy. Charles was, according to some stories I’ve heard, closer to his great uncle than to his own father.

Baker-I was referring to Louis (the one the IRA asassinated)

I suppose now that Prince Harry has moved down to fourth in line to the throne, he can loosen up a bit and live a little.

Nope: One tradition that won't be missed: Home Secretary is no longer required to witness birth of royal child to ensure it isn't an 'imposter' | Daily Mail Online

Congrats to the Duke and Duchess. I predict they will name their newborn son Philip, after his recently-ailing great-grandfather.

Congratulations to the new parents. I predict they’ll name it after Kate’s dad.

Michael Francis

It’s good to wee king.

I really hope they don’t name him “Francis” or “Frank”, even as a middle name.

Its just cruel.

Please disregard.
Heart Felt Congratulations to Mother, Father & Child…!
