Hmmm, it seems that π looks much better with Times New Roman font, doesn’t it?
Just to follow up: daughter and friends ate the pie. And didn’t even save a nibble for the parent from whom she inherited her mad math skillz. But she did change my phone’s ringtone to “White and Nerdy.”
Here’s a challenge. How many digits of pi does it take to include all the 1, 2, 3… digit strings? E.g.
1…0 takes the first 32 digits of pi (excluding the 3.), the last digit to appear was 0.
How about 10 to 99?
100 to 999?
We might find an unexpectedly short string that takes unusually long to appear.
It’s strangely beautiful, just like Pi itself.
