Okay, Pi Day has arrived once again. If you write the date in USA format you get 3/14 for March 14th and pi begins with 3.14. (Okay it is approximately 3.14159265358 … but that ruins the whole Pi Day concept doesn’t it?)
So, how is everyone celebrating π Day? Still rushing around to buy that last minute π Day gift for that special someone? Practicing your π Day Holiday songs? Are you planning on watching π the movie?
It is also Albert Einstein’s birthday.
Ordinarily I wouldn’t make such a big deal of π Day but this is the SDMB and I’m sure there must be lots of folks observing this holiday.
Lo, I have become death. Stealer of π.

I don’t think we can have a PI day in Britain. Not without redesigning the calendar a bit.

When come on 3/14, bring…
Nah. Too easy…
If only there were 31 days in April…
mmmmm… pi. I’m going to celebrate by having 314 calories worth of apple pie.
Be sure to watch a whole season’s DVD of Magnum Pi .
I logged on just to start this thread!
Glad to see there are other Pi aficianados out there!
I mean, who doesn’t love Pi?
Coconut-creme, please. And a piece that subtends an angle of 1 radian, as well.

Given your post count, you are the anti-Christ. Doesn’t that mean you are also the anti-Pi?
I’d celebrate, but the moment is gone.
Specifically, the moment was on 3/14 at 1:59:26.5358…

Hey, hey, I just learned this gem a couple of days ago;
“How I need a drink, alcoholic of course, after the heavy lectures
involving quantum mechanics.”
To 14 digits, not bad.
You can approximate it, by celebrating PI day on 22/7.
So- am I cake? cobbler? broccoli? What is anti-Pi? 1/3.14159?
Oops, there goes my post count!
My Daughter’s school is celebrating it. I plan to buy an Apple Pie on the way home. That is about all.

Way to not be the anti-Christ, dude!

So, you are no longer the anti-Christ nor or you the anti-Pi. You have achieved Redemption. I am concerned about the broccoli thing, though.
Pi day is my birthday! I’m exactly 100 years younger than Albert Einstein.
So today, he would be 128 years old.
I like pie.
