It's Monday, let's begin the MMP

Good luck to you too, Midget!

From the time I first met RT up until the last time he was home, I was under strict orders to back goodies with Splenda. Thankfully and triumphantly, the ban on sugar has been lifted!!! So, in spite of feeling like hell, I have baked and iced some DELICIOUS (if I do say so myself) brownies for RT who will be home either tomorrow or the next day.

Now, I’m going to go pay bills and then head off to bed.

Canes won!

[Cliff Clavin]Actually the correct term would be Vandal or Visigoths. The Eastern Roman Empire was quite advances, actually.[/Cliff Clavin]

That’s what she said!

Drae, Gordie only chews his toy’s naughty bits now. The highlight of most days is coming home to watch a Jack Russell get his freak on with Pink Pony.

Posting from irk

Have I mentioned that I am not a fan of hip hop, so I am working a hip hop show.

Just remember “it all pays the same”

Jim

Am I the first blurfer today?

Yes, but I am the second.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis a chilly 42 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 67 for the day. A real south Jawja Fall Day!

Yes, I am takin’ the day off. I need it. So four day weekend. YAY!!! Bein’ as I am all footloose and fancy free today I shall defilthyfy da cave. I know how to live, I do! I really do need to do this bein’ as we have folks comin’ over late tomorrow afternoon for a low country boil. Thus, the need to defilthyfy and also to gather ingredients. I shall betake myself to the seafood market for shrimpies this mornin’. Everything else needed is already here. This will be the very simple sausage, N.O.T., corn and shrimpies low country boil. Sometimes I go wild and have crabs (the eatin’ kind) as well but not this time. Oh and must make a beer run. One cannot have a low country boil without beer.

Now I need to feed rumbly tummy and get myself busy. In a bit. Really. Soon. I swear.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Just a standard three-day holiday weekend for me. My boss is taking four days, and on the flip side, DH will be working on Monday.

No three day weekend for me, even though I work for the military. Stoopid company. Its all good, I am seeing Alton Brown on Sunday, so that more than makes up for it.

Ceilin’ fans dusted (ick!) plus the bathrooms and the kitchen are now all cleanded up. Nex up, dust the livin’ room, dinin’ room, bedrooms and study. I’m much too pretty to have to be this domestic.

Happy Firday!
It’s a cool, sunny, windy 40 degrees outside, with a projected high of 53. Kind of chilly inside since I closed the vent.

What is all this talk of 3 and 4 day weekends? Is Moonday a holiday? I’ll have to look it up.
I’ve got lots to do today, none of it pleasant
so I’ll be right there cleaning with you **Swampy **

I almost forgot to blurf at y’all. This is one of the quietest MMPs we’ve had in a while.

and FIRST ON FOUR!

I’m trying to decide if I have dry socket, or if I’m healing normally and should just shut up and eat mashed potatoes for a few more days. On the upside, even if it is dry socket, it hurts less than the infection that was there before they pulled the tooth.

At least it’s Friday, even though our buyout/payroll switchover means I don’t effing get paid this week.

Morning everyone.

swampy, don’t knock the domestic thing. “No man was ever stabbed to death while doing the dishes.”

Blurf.

I have finally surfaced from under a mountain of work, but now there is another mountain on the horizon. This new job is busy, busy, busy! I found out that the previous admin person only stayed a year, she left because most of the time you’re in the office by yourself doing your job and there’s no company at all. She didn’t like it, felt very isolated and wasn’t too happy so she moved on elsewhere. Can’t say I blame her either. They had a temp for a month who has also moved on to something different, and now they’ve got me for a while. And they’ve got interviews on Monday.

Now I have to go check and authorise timesheets for the lab demonstrators and the markers…oh joy. At least it’s Friday and that means the weekend’s nearly here!

Da cave is officially defilthyfied I declare. Ok, defilthyfied enough. Yeah, I could do some deep cleanin’ but I don’t wanna. So There! :stuck_out_tongue: Nobody will catch and/or die from any horrid pestilence whilst here and that’s what matters. Even cleaned off the back porch and wiped down all the porch furniture. Go Me!

Anywho, I am all showered and in clean clothin’. In a while I shall betake myself to the sto’ and have decided that a trip to Jimmy’s HotDawgs is in order. They are the stinkiest of all stinky hot dawgs ever but they are sooooooo good! I gots to have me three or four chili/cheese/onion/slaw dawgs.

Oh, and I have cakeage in the oven. Ima make a mandarin orange, aka pig pickin’ cake, for tomorrow.

I too am coming up on a three day weekend since Monday is Veteran’s Day. I wish today was my RDO so it could be a four day weekend, but I’ll take what I can get.

We’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us. The kids are coming down to hang out with us tomorrow and on Sunday, our friends are coming to our place to watch the Seahawks game. Both days require cooking for everyone. I’m not overly thrilled about that, but it’s alright.

Today will be another marathon day. This work week has been just been run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, RUN!

Tonight, I’ll go home and clean the house so that I’m not running around like crazy tomorrow morning trying to get it done.

It’s been wet and windy here. Not nearly as windy as the Phillipines, but definitely windy and wet.

ohhhh Veteran’s Day
How did I forget that one???:smack:

I’m slowly defilthifying my bedroom. Leaving in a hurry and a few days not home and it’s a mess.
I saw a mouse run across my room last night, and the neighbor informed me that a raccoon has taken up residence in our yards. Rabies is on the rise in this area and I don’t want any damn raccoons hanging around.

I’m up. I’m awake. And I’m actually getting things done, which is nice.

I have no book on CD from the library to listen to while driving. Apparently I’ve been listening to stories while I drive long enough that it’s disconcerting to have to shift to the radio.

Boring week. Wednesday night I awoke about midnight with leg cramps so bad all I could do was fall into the bathtub, fill it with hot water and pass out. Zippy the wonder cat tapped me on the chest around 3:15am, and I crawled out of the cold water to feed her and Marla. Went to work hurtin’, got off at 3, changed clothes and went to a meeting I had set up with the BAC of the local Episcopal church ant the Oregon Bishop to convince him that the church needed his support to stay open(and keep the food pantry I volunteer for every weekend open). Meeting gets hot and heavy, But I think it went our way. Meeting ends, and proceed from the meeting last night to go to Lloyd Center Doubletree to help set up the hospitality suite for Orycon 35. Finished and locked up the suite around midnight, and was back in bed by about 12:35am. Woke up at 4am and went to work and(barring a mental breakdown) I’ll be back at the hospitality suite by about 4pm, where I will be stationed until sometime Monday morning.

edited to add: Did you know that if you concentrate hard enough, you can make the black spots in front of your eyes dance in time to the music only you can hear.

I’ve shopped, frosted the cake, and had a nap. So far today I have defilthyfied da cave and the back porch, made a cake, washed sheets and remade the bed, been shoppin’ for comestibles for tomorrow, had N.O.L. and a nap. Quite productive! Also I picked up a couple nice ribeyes and some fresh broccoli for tonight’s dindin. Steak, steamed broccoli with cheese sauce, wild rice and garlic bread will make for a nice dindin I do believe.

Now I await a visit from the bugman for the monthly sprayage of da cave.
