Last week, just days before my back surgery, the pain was overwhelming and I couldn’t get out. But I missed my horses terribly (I hadn’t seen them in a while), so DeathLlama took the camera and made several short video clips so I could enjoy “seeing” my girls as they played in turnout.

You’ll see that my lovely whited-out grey Arabian mare Ana (Ferrana) had been wearing a blanket…she’s nice and white EXCEPT her lovely mud-stained head and neck. My mini Firefly is in full winter fluff–I swear there’s a pony in all of that fur. It’s a short video and just shows the girls galloping about and enjoying being a horse. And they’re purty.
Disclaimer: In general minis should not be turned out with “biggies,” but my Arab is extremely passive and the mini very dominant–so they sort of balance out. The Arab gives her a LOT of space, heh! You’ll see that in the video. It’s a risk, I know, but they so enjoy being out together I consider it one worth taking. I wouldn’t put Firefly out with any other full-sized equine–any other horse might realize they’re quadruple her size and not put up with her crap.
