It's not about the Bike

This is my first Cafe post whoohoo!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has read Lance Armstrong’s “It’s not about the Bike.” What were your thoughts? As a cyclist I can easily say this is my favorite book, but I think that non-cyclists would like it as well. It’s a wonderfully motivating book to me, but I was wondering what the teeming’s thought about it.

Non cyclist here.

I’ve always been inspired by Lance Armstrong & how he has fought back from cancer. So I asked for the book last Christmas.

I loved the book, and think I like him even more after having read it. I mean, I knew he had cancer and all, but I didn’t know his story in depth enough to know that he was so close to death. It amazed me to find out that some doctors had completely written him off.

What got me into Lance in the first place was his Nike commercial where he ends with “What am I on? I’m on my bike, busting my ass for six hours a day. What are YOU on?”

I thought that was damn cool.

mmm…Lance is hot.
