It’s been six months since the SDMB went pay. I remember reading arguments that this place would be so absolutely dead by now that we’d be terminally bored with a huge drop-off in readership, demanding our money back.
So are we at that point yet? Or should I wait another couple of weeks or so?
Maybe it’s undead. I’ve expressed my desire to become a lich several times, perhaps the dark gods of the netherworld are setting things in motion.
The board died months ago. Didn’t you know? None of us are really posting. It’s just an illusion.
I was shocked that thousands of people signed up. It never seemed like I’d seen that many people around. My rosiest prediction was a few hundred.
It’s not often you get to be so wrong as I was.

Please keep me updated on this. I often daydream about becoming a lich and then rampaging through my office. I think it has a cetrain horror allure that simply freaking out and overturning desks quite frankly lacks.
I’d like to speak as one of the ones who thought it would die.

I will most likely pay again next year, as a matter of fact.
