It's official. It's Jeb Bush.

Actually, if corporations are people why not just nominate Goldman Sachs or GE and cut out the middleman. Couldn’t be Ford or GM because they’re socialists, and Google or Apple would be a tough sell, because, well… science.

By all indications, Jeb Bush has absolutely no interest in running for office ever again and believes that today’s GOP have become a bunch of lockstep extremists that wouldn’t recognize his own father as a Republican if he were running today. I don’t see that changing.

He forgot to mention the part about GHWB inventing a time machine to travel to the future to raise taxes thereby altering the fabric of space-time and retroactively causing the recession.

Or something…

Here ya go… (That was too easy…)

No, it’s not. There just have been some talk about it, but it’s not official. Obama starts his second term next year. It’s 2012, not 2016. Nothing is official. It’s all just talk and speculation. We will hear a lot of names from both sides being thrown around.

Oooookay! Damn! Official definitely should have been in quotes. But everything I’ve read assessing has chances point to him as the front runner. Reliable conservative to the left of mainstream Republicans on immigration. Rubio may be a rising star but I don’t see the lightning in a bottle thing Obama had after his 2004 DNC speech.

Read a headline yesterday that Christie’s popularity rose after Sandy so it’s not a lock. Plus four years is a long time in politics. He’ll have to figure out how to avoid being tarnished by W.'s record but if he runs I see the establishment lining up behind him the way they lined up behind his brother.

He found it necessary to pander to the neanderthal wing of the Republican Party in response to a question about the age of the Earth. To Jeb Bush’s credit, he seems less willing to pander on this point.

Rubio also has a few ties to David Rivera, who is about as pure as the River Ankh.

When I hear “Jeb Bush”, I think of Greg Palast.

Any chance we can skip over Jeb and go directly to Barbara (George W’s daughter)?

Marco Rubio is a douchetruck.

I would not plan on a landslide victory with Jeb after his brother George made such a goddamned mess of his two terms.

Clinton was doughy… not even fat.

She won’t be 35 by the 2016 Election but she will be 35 by the time of the 2017 Inauguration. So, she qualifies . . . just down to the wire.

That pic is gayer than the training montage in Rocky III.

They look like… (harmless utoob clip)

A third member of the Bush family for president? I don’t know if people will accept that. Plus people will still have bad memories of W’s administration in 2016, and that will rub off on Jeb.

She’s already got my vote. growl

Proof that the internet has ruined our culture!

Psych!

Proof that zombies can be fun.

Reading this was a blast; I barely remember wondering whether it’d be Gingrich or Santorum… but we figured it’d probably be Jeb. After all, as was put forth in this thread:
“But I’m hard pressed to see any rising stars overtake him.”

[smiley with huuuuge orange hair]

Not a bad call from four years ago; and the way he ended up makes you think that he still had no interest in running for office (being nominated and acclaimed would have been just fine with him…).
