It's official: the WTC crisis is over, msn.com says so...

This morning was the first time the big headline on the http://www.msn.com Home Page was nothing to do with the WTC, terrorists, war, Bin Laden, etc.

And what bumped it?

TV cliff-hangers: 25 secrets revealed

They have also dropped the “how you can help” sidebar and banner links.

Back to normal.

I suppose it had to come sometime.

I remember predicting to Bonzo rather cynically on September 11 that, knowing the average American attention span for crises, it would be a “nine days’ wonder”, and then I had to explain to him what a “nine days’ wonder” was.

So I was only off by a couple of days.

If there’s no new significant information, why should it remain in the headlines? Nothing to do with attention spans, I think.

MSN.com also says that Microsoft is innocent of the antitrust allegations and the government is trying to restrict their “freedom to innovate.”

Says it all about MSN, if you ask me.

They are perfectly free to innovate…they just have yet to do so.

Peace,
stoid
