It's the official last Presidential Debate thread!

Right now I’m watching Chris Matthews in a sweater of all things.

I have never, ever been as interested in a presidential election as this one. This is the first time I’ve watched all of the presidential debates (and the VP) in their entirety. Aside from a couple of times getting distracted by the Dope, I haven’t found any of them boring. Sure, it’s a lot of re-hashing talking points, but I think it helps to hear how they respond to questions, and to each other.

I’m trying C-SPAN this time. I don’t have cable (no squiggly-lines for me), and I’ve chosen a different network, pretty much at random, each time.

Let it begin…

CNN for the last debate!! Best political team ever.

whoo! Here and ready. Going to be switching back and forth from TV and Straight Dope.

Bob looks good and the format will encourage more indepth replies.

Nancy Reagan?(I know she broke her pelvis and sacrum) wth? And he’s still not looking at Obama.

Our “beloved” Nancy Reagan?

OK, I’m angry now.

Buy up ALL the mortgages? What IS this? This is a GOP plan? Huh? I had heard that before but dismissed it as I had misheard. Banker husband does not like it.

Zoinks! McCain’s cheek looks even bigger! And it sounds like it’s impacting the way he’s speaking.

That said, the makeup jobs (and the lighting) are MUCH better than in the first debate. McCain looks a lot less pasty, and Obama looks less like Lurch.

I’m going to start drinking. What should my buzz word be?

So far middle class would be good.

“fundamentals of our economy were weak even before…” Nice slight at McCain.

Homeowners. I’m wasted already.

He is storing acorns for the winter.

Hey, isn’t that supposed to be no raise for people making less than $250,000? Did Obama change his plan without informing me?

Depression, financial package, senator, and middle class would all work.

Ooh-what is this about a plumber?

Joe the Plumber? Oy vey.

ETA: Joe the Plumber!! Is this real or is it a parody of a debate?

Well, if Joe the Plumber doesn’t think Obama’s tax plan will be good for the economy, that’s good enough for me! Color me sold.

Yep–I think he misspoke.
Say it ain’t so, Joe! Plumbers make some really good money! Nice jab Obama.
See, he corrected himself now.

Oh, he restated, it is a quarter of a million dollars.

I think you menat ACORNS for this debate :stuck_out_tongue:
