Anyhoo, so far I agree more with Obama’s approach tonight than McCain’s. Especially the talk of people (and the federal government) not living beyond their means.
“If you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago” is possibly the first time I’ve heard McCain have any kind of somewhat good response to the McSame moniker.
I like that off the top off his head, Obama was able to whip out some examples of “standing up to your party.” Not like I think that’s some watermark for the office, but McCain was going for an “aha …” and Obama met it well.
