Another month, another thread on Straight Dope birthdays. If your birthday is this month, you have a chance to shine in the spotlight! :slight_smile: Just tell us who you are, when your birthday is, what you’ll be doing, and other assorted stuff. I’m not picky, but it has to somehow tangentially do with your birthday.

And as for the rest of you lot: please wish them all a happy birthday! (good health, good luck, happiness, fun… whatever you’d personally wish for them is all game) I’m sure they’d appreciate it; I know I would, were it my birthday. (and no, this has nothing to do with the number of replies I get to this thread ;))

I’m a late October baby!

I’m relatively new around here, so I just wanted to make myself get noticed!!

Today is my birthday! I’m 37, I think. (Have a hard time remembering such things.) We celebrated last night at Red Lobster, where I ate an obscene amount of shrimp-lobster pasta.

And today (I believe in celebrating for at least a week) I’m going to make soap and candles and go shopping at Goodwill. And eat some of the leftover pasta, of course.

Today is my birthday as well!!! I’m 28.

I started off my morning by having a physical at my doctors office where they stole my blood, weighed me (UGH!), and did other mean things that shouldn’t be done on a person’s birthday.

Lets just hope for a clean bill of health!

I turn 38 on the 19th.
I have no idea what I’ll do that day. Probably not much.

Me! My birthday is in October! The 12th, to be exact. I’ll be the big 2-7.

Mine is the 15th, and I’ll be turning (uuggghhh!!) 31. I can’t believe I’m that old. My mind still seems mostly 14 or 15. As far as what I’ll be doing, I’ll be collecting my B-day BJ from my girlfriend, I can’t wait!! (no, this isn’t the only time of year I get that, I’ve just been promised it’ll be extra-good that time)

My birthday is also the 15th, and I’ll be turning 23. On that day I shall be proctoring a midterm (and probably starting the grading too- joy). As for actual birthday plans, they are not yet finalized, but will include a semi-fancy dinner with my boyfriend and an activity with my grandmother, aunts and possibly cousins who live in the area, to be held the weekend before my birthday.

October 15th is also Virgil’s birthday. As a classicist, I actually care about that.

My birthday is on the 26th. I’ll be 18. I figure it’s a good a reason as ever to bring in cupcakes for my English class. Cute cupcakes, with those little plastic rings on top in the frosting. Maybe even spider-shaped rings.

Zebra and Flamsterette: I work at a grocery store for now. The job is very mundane, and when it gets slow we play pranks on each other for fun (filling the phone with shaving cream is my favorite). It was a circus there today, I tell you…
