Is it your belief he should have immediately rushed from his house to the shower to break up the still ongoing rape from the night before that he was never told about? McQueary is at fault no doubt but the thing about this case is that there is a lot of fault to throw around. Paterno should have confronted Sardusky directly, ask him what was going on and ask to speak to the boy involved. That way no police or outside involvement until he knows something for sure is up, if it was innocent no harm done. If he had done that Sardusky would have been discovered a lot earlier and some kids would not have been harmed.

I’m not totally disagreeing with your assessment, but to be fair, Gfactor didn’t issue a warning and the mod note he did post was for improper language, not for ‘standing up to SA’.

To add to El Kabong’s comments it has already been noted that describing child molestation is within the rules (however distasteful) while certain words are explicitly verboten. It’s not a perfect system but it works most of the time.
