iTunes help needed

All of a sudden my iTunes won’t let me create new playlists. Soon as I start dragging a song to a folder I created, a circle with a diagonal slash appears over it. When I release it, it jumps back to its place.

Anyone have any idea what I’m doing wrong or what changed?

Are you sure the new Playlist you’re creating isn’t a Smart Playlist? If it is, you can’t just drag songs over. Make sure you’re selecting “New Playlist” from the top of the “File” tab.
