Can I not simply burn my purchased epis onto a dvd and watch it downstairs on my gigantic bigscreen tv? Apparently NO! Sorry, mebbe panicking here, but can’t figure it out.
You can’t burn a DVD with iTunes videos (at least not legally)
Apple will be coming out with the “iTV” (not final name) that will recieve wireless videos from your computer and send them on to your TV.
There be similar existing solutions (including having another computer in your living room)

I think the video purchased on iTunes is formatted for tiny screens anyway, so it would look like pure crap if you were view it on a big screen.
Actually, we’ve been watching “Lost” from the iTunes store on a 42" plasma, and it looks great, especially since they upped the quality last week. Certainly better than digital cable, and better than some DVD’s I’ve bought. If you’ve got a video capable iPod, all it takes is a special cable. If you really want to go to town, you can get a dock and remote control.
