I've been cited!

On Friday my supervisor gave me a draft of a paper that our collaborator was writing. I read through it today, and my still in preparation paper was cited in it!

Hurrah! They’re submitting the paper for peer review fairly soon, so I’ll see my name in print! It also kicks my arse into gear to finish writing my paper and submitting it.

But still. Yay! I’ve been cited!!!

Woo hoo!

How did they cite it?

As “submitted for publication,” “to be published,” or as a manuscript that’s in preparation?

As a manuscript in preparation, essentially “<My surname> et al. in prep.”

Nifty. We get those every so often.

“D. Name, D. Othername, and D. Lastname are preparing a manuscript to be titled, “The wild, weird life of the coccolithore,” to be submitted to J. Geophys. Res.”

Whoops! And congrats!

Thank you

I’ve been doing the happy dance all morning, and working extra hard on my paper so that hopefully, by the time their paper gets published, the citation will be “Angua et al, submitted”.

Oh boy, so where will your cite be sited for our sight? Congratulations!!

 It might come up on the pre-print servers when they submit it. I’ll be sure to link to the article when it does.

Congratulations, ** Angua**! Recognition is so nice!

Sure seems like you’re excited!

Well, it has to be said, I can be very exciteable
