My little brother went through around seven rodents, all but one gerbil (which lost its tail somehow, I forget how) being hamsters. He tried teaching a hamster to fly, another one to swim, I remember one died with a hairdrier (that might have been the one he was trying to get to swim being dried off)

can’t remember how the others died but this was a period of only a year or two. Eventually my parents put a stop to it. I think he’d have been around six or seven at the time.
