I've got MEAT!

So, one of the social activities I enjoy on a semi-regular basis is LARPing. The ongoing LARP that I currently attend has, as one of its players, a sous-chef from one of the more prominent Chicago hotels.
She almost always brings something she’s prepared; something that would stymie the more cooking-inept (like me) to feed the masses with. Yesterday, however, it was deli meats and cheeses.
She explained that a new vendor is trying to ‘woo’ her establishment, and has given them more of the stuff than they can go through in a regular amount of time. So, yesterday, we had a lot to go around. It ended up being so much so that there was a -lot- left at the end of play, and some of us walked off with a nice culinary door prize, as it were. I’ve got a big ziplock back of prosciutto in my fridge now, and were I not heading out for an early lunch in a few minutes, I’d be munching a sandwich of it as we speak.
Of course, this is a challenge for me; one of my big problems with my eating habits has always been portion control. Now that I’ve got all this tasty meat in my fridge, if I want to keep my weight loss going, I’m going to have to really flex the willpower. (Yeah, yeah, I know. Some problems. ‘Woe is me! I have too much tasty meat!’)

So, mundane. Pointless. Thought I’d share.

WTF is LARPing?

live action role playing. I used to be a member of the rubber swords brigade myself.

Now it’s time to check out that great little bakery you’ve been meaning to try. It would be a shame to put such nice meat on Wonder bread.

Oooh! Good thinking, Lynn! There’s one a mile or so from here I keep -meaning- to visit…

And yeah, LARP = Live Action Role Play.

I’ve got meat, too. I’ve named him Godzilla.

Switch to low carb for a few weeks. Enjoy the meat freely. Then go back to low cal once the tempting meat is gone

There ya go. <3

Or, you know, you could share…

Why don’t you LARP with the meat? Like, make a meatsword and stick other people with it?

It depends, one of the great things about wonder bread is it’s complete lack of flavor & texture which doesn’t distract from the meat.
