I've got two chickens to paralyze...pack your bags we leave tonight!

I have some friends in Zimbabwe where I’ve been intending to take an extended visit forever. I had almost made up my mind and saved up the money when COVID hit.

An Antarctic base. If more specificity is required, SANAE base, I guess.

Chicken-itza Chichen itza, in Mexico. And Cancun is close by.

Like a great narrator can make a horrible audiobook something divine … there is no such thing as a bad show at Red Rocks.

Trying to decide between going to New Zealand and returning to Scotland. ZUJ…

Well, you do have two chickens to paralyze.

First door on the left at the top of the stairs.

Boring answer, I’m afraid, but I’d like to tour Carlsbad Caverns again. Done it three times…not finished. Unfortunately, at my age…hm… Also, economically straitened… (Keep playing the lottery, right?)

I suppose I don’t help my popular culture cred if I ask who Eddie Money is?

Nope didn’t think so.

It’s a gem, isn’t it? I really enjoyed it.

I read that and realize…who Eddie was, actually (died 2019).

Some folks don’t recognize names of singers.

The song in question

My favorite track by him

Highest charting Eddie Money song

Quite a list here—Billboard top 100 more than 20 times.

2020 was my year to go to Greece for the first time. That worked out well - not. So Greece, I wanna go to Greece.

To all of you heading off to the UK tonight - pack some warm clothes.

j

Probably the North Sentinel Island in Bay of Bengal. Why ? Humanitarian work, I’ve checked my privileges’ recently and it’s time to give back.

Joking aside. Since I’m in the middle of winter at -18° for today anywhere in Hawaii or Australia sounds nice.

Why ? Because it’s not here. Winters are harder as I get older.

Don’t assume you’re the only one.

I’ve got two ticks and a pair of dice.

That is comforting, thank you.

Tokyo to visit old friends. Then Thailand to visit more friends. Then Ankor Wat - I’ve been within shouting distance twice and never got there and I’m even Facebook friends with a guy who lives in nearby Siem Reap. That’s one chicken/trip.

Second Chicken would be Italy and Greece.

The UK. Land near London, rental car with unlimited mileage, rented under someone else’s license, with the standard $2-a-day unlimited insurance. A meal card that every/any restaurant pub will recognize for alcohol-for-three and unlimited seafood.

Bonus Points if you include a ‘Bail-Out Bag’ with 2 changes of clothes, different papers, and a ticket on a slow trawler west (out of Scotland) back to the US if it all goes to Hell in a Handbasket.

( …you Did say ‘vacation’… )

Ignoring COVID - Iceland to watch the aurora.
With COVID - Same as today. My kitchen, office, and living room. Such fun.

A nice snug on Shetland island with a sea view, a nice warm fire, and a pile of books.

I am a firm believer that the outside temperature should never be lower than my age
