I've gotten phone calls from Laura Bush 5 times in the past 2 days!!!

Urging me to get out and vote this coming Tuesday, and to make sure when I do vote that ivote for Robert Erlich for Governer in Maryland.

Fine, except for a few minor details:

1.It’s a fucking recording!!! If I’m gonna walk 1/2 through the house to answer the goddamn phone it damn well better be a real person and not a fucking recording.

  1. I’m a Democrat and have been registered as such ever since I first registered to vote, which was back in January 1987.

  2. I live in Maine which is about an 11 hour drive North of Maryland.

  3. According to all the records I am currently a resident of the state of Maine as is my dad, whom I share an address and house with.

  4. Yes, I used to live in Maryland, but that was over 3 years ago.

  5. If it came down to a choice between voting for The Prince Of Darkness and Robert Erlich, I’d vote for ol’ horn-head. Robert Erlich is an asshat of the highest quality.

Laura Bush is hot for you? Duuuuuude! Librarians, man, they are the two dollar pistols of all time!

(though I kinda lean towards Condoleeza Rice, I mean, that gap in her teeth just does it to me!)

I just wish Martin Sheen would stop calling me. It’s over, Martin! Get a life!

Rudy Giuliani just called and asked me to vote for his friend Doug.

But, when I asked Rudy a polite question, the son of a bitch hung up on me! :wally

Oh, c’mon, december, how dumb do you think we are, Rudy called you up and asked you to vote for his friend. Like Rudy has a friend!

Whew. I’m glad it’s not just me. I got a recording from Dubya the Shrub himself when I got home from work a couple weeks back.

Telling me they were sending me an absentee ballot.

Huh? Number one, I’m not and never have been a Republican. Number two, I’m not absent, either! I live a frikkin block from my polling place. blinkblink

I’ve been a Republican, Independent and Democrat and NO ONE ever calls me.

I never get to answer any of those polls either…[sub]oh well…[/sub]

I think all poitical candidates that resort to recorded nuisance calls should be boiled in oil! Why havn’t the bastards been spamming my e-mail!!? Same damn thing!

My Ma has been getting recordings from the campaign for Jim Doyal, the Dementedcrat running for Governor. The fact that she would rather curse God and die than vote for him is not what’s upsetting. What is pissing her off is, recorded telemarketing messages are ILLEGAL in Wisconsin!!!
Of course, there is probably a loophole in that law that makes exceptions for recorded political ads. (I haven’t looked it up yet…I will.) Isn’t it nice that the fucks who write the laws make exceptions for themselves?

Doyle! His last name is Doyle:smack:

Oh, well. It’s not like I was going to vote for the asshole!

Wow. I actually live in Maryland and Laura Bush never calls me. I feel so left out.

Robert Ehrlich may be an asshat, but Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend is an asshat of higher caliber. I’m a Democrat, but I’m voting for Ehrlich.

Are they actually calling you in Maine? How odd.
I got calls FOUR TIMES from my local news station for a survey about the Serial Sniper, asking if I was afraid of buying gas and such.
Who thinks up this shit?

I’ve been getting them too, but not from anybody other than the jerk running for City Counsel. It pisses me off, because if I’m going to be bothered, can’t I at least be bothered by someone more important that the guy running for City Counsel in a really, really small city?

Vote for Woody for City Council of Richfield, MN!

(Well, his politics kind of bite, but he’s honest enough, and he’s family)

I’ve gotten a recorded phone call from Bill McBride and I’ve gotten mail all about how bad he supposedly is from the Republican Party of Florida. Hell, I even got a survey from the Republican Party. Hehehehe.

Ditto, and I actually don’t think Bob is all that bad. KKT is a waste of skin, so she’s out automaticly.

My friend got a recorded call from Governor Gray Davis’ wife. I feel so rejected. I actually wrote him a letter or two and she didn’t call me!

Nearly every day for the past week I’ve come home to find a voice mail waiting for me. It starts out “We’re calling with important information about Jim Gerlach…”. I always erase it at this point so I don’t know what the information is but it must be damned important for them to be so eager to contact me!
And every couple of days I find 2 or 3 Jim Gerlach fliers in my mailbox. I was going to vote against the guy anyway but this nonsense makes it a real pleasure!
