J. Peterman archives its catalogue blurbs!

Talk about a blast from the past–on a whim I just googled what I remembered about my favorite blurb from the J. Peterman catalogue (circa mid-'90s), and lo, there it was. The skirt isn’t available, but the prose still is.

My favorite.

I was a nerdy teenager, and wanted nothing more than to be beautiful and mysterious. Alas, the skirt wasn’t enough.

Did you have a favorite? Link to it. I love these.

:confused::confused:

This one amuses me.

I remember drooling over an English or maybe Safari walking skirt and a poet-type shirt. Can’t seem to find them. sigh

I’ve always loved the fact that John O’Hurley (the actor who played Mr Peterman in Seinfeld was one of (possibly the) major investor in re-starting the brand in the late 1990s.

I wish they still had their Titanic collection.

I can’t separate the real Peterman catalog from the Seinfeld Peterman. Maybe I need to go on the Peterman Reality Tour.

:o I thought the OP was pointing out a parody site. No wonder I can’t find the urban sombrero.

I read somewhere there’s a crowdfunding campaign to get the J Peterman Company to start making them IRL.
