Jack Bauer Is a Lion

WTF- I jsut saw a trailer for the movie THE WILD and I sware I heard Jack’s raspy voice coming out of the lion’s mouth! I checked, and hot damn it is!! Bauer = me in the threatre…no matter what it is! Who’s gettin wild with me??

Eh, I’ll probably check it on DVD. I really like Keifer Sutherland, but that looks like a pretty bleak project. A dismal writing team, and a first director’s credit (apart from second unit director for Spawn) for a guy whose resume is almost entirely special effects animation.

The character animation in the trailer looks fairly decent, though. (The lead animator is the fella responsible for Tripping the Rift.)

The trailer is available online here, by the way.

He doesn’t think of himself as a lion. You might as well though; he has a mighty roar.

A couple years back, it seemed that Pixar and DreamWorks were spying on each other, as there were two cases in which they had films set in similar situations…almost. Antz and A Bug’s Life were both set in the world of insects, but each had a different view of the world and a different storyline. Same thing with Finding Nemo and Shark Tale. What I find intriguing is that both Disney’s The Wild and DreamWorks’s Madagascar are both about wild animals who live in a New York zoo, but each has a different plot. In Madagascar, the animals wanted to leave on their own free will and live in the wild. In The Wild, the animals appear not to want to leave the zoo, but are forced to after Goliath’s the lion’s son is kidnapped. (Goliath’s son shares my real first name, presumably for humorous rhyme purposes. It seems strange to hear Kiefer Sutherland calling my name.) If, as The Simpsons once said, animation is based on plagarism, the line between the similarity is getting wider. Still, one wonders if both studios are looking at each other’s work.

Ditto. I love the guy, but I’d rather spend my twelve bucks elsewhere.

Strange? I think that would be terrifying. (The lion is actually named Samson, by the way.) I like Kiefer too, but this isn’t the kind of movie that gets my interest.

Thanks. I knew it was some Biblical character, and I was thinking “Goliath” because, you know, lions are big. Or maybe I had my Disney characters mixed up and was thinking of JoJo’s pet lion. I don’t know.

Thanks so much. Yeah, I feel you on that DVD vibe- I am just a sucker for the big screeen, always have been always will be! The bigger and louder the better if you really want to know how I feel.

Hey I came across this clip that looks pretty amusing, check it…

I see Jack was disguising himself as a lion during his year off, in between time served in the secret service.

No, is he alliance.

That’s weird.

The Daddy Lion’s lost offspring doesn’t wind up in some sort of a snare in this project, I’m going to write a letter of complaint.

What would be best is if the pup gets a hind leg caught, remembers that cartoon lions have opposable thumbs, shrugs, slips it off, and happily continues on its way.

also, the launched the officail site. very interactive…very cool.

money spot

anyone got a chance to check it out? any reviews- ive heard positive things…but nothing official…
