Yes she did! Word on the street (read: via email) is that our own beloved jackelope’s proposal of marraige to jillelope was accepted. Come and congratuate the lucky guy!
Now the question is, how will they do it? I say they should…
vibrotronica is a good friend of mine; I’m glad he posted this. I’d considered doing it myself, but hadn’t quite figured out how to do it. I’m also glad he e-mailed me about this, since I completely missed it.
So: Thanks! We’re going to do something relatively low-key for the service (no tuxedos for us fellas, thank you) and then as big a party as we can manage; the absolute minimum guest list we can come up with is about 150 people, nearly one-third of which are my family.
For the honeymoon, we’re in total agreement: Head south to Meridian, Mississippi to see the grave and museum of Jimmie Rodgers, then hop on the old US 80 (not Interstate 80) and head west as far as we can go before it’s time to come home again.
Just for kicks, here is a photo of me and my wife-to-be at a recent baseball game. She’s sort of hiding, as is her habit when a camera comes out, but she gave me permission to post this one.
I’ve never been happier; thanks again for posting this, vibrotronica.
Say wha? I don’t recall calling myself a Yankees fan… I’m more a fan of baseball in the abstract, though I’m a Braves/Cardinals fan if anything.
Oh! I get it! The picture! No, that’s a just a t-shirt that says “New York” that I happened to be wearing to the game that day. The game was, as I recall, Memphis Redbirds vs. New Orleans Zephyrs.
