Ladies and Gentlemen, I have the great honor to present to you: our very own Mr. & Mrs. Skipmagic, aka SkipMagic & auntie em .
Their disappearance from the boards was noted last week, and not only by myself. Let it be known: They were basking at my own version of heaven, the Bellagio in Las Vegas, surrounded by friends, family and love.
So please, raise your glasses and join me in toasting Skip & auntie em . May they always know the true happiness and joy that a wonderful marriage can bring.
Congrats to you too, then! Actually, the part of our “honeymoon” that I liked best was when we got back home (on July 3) and spent the next three days asleep.
Heh. Yeah, Finagle, I pretty much blurted out the whole secret plan when we were still in a panic over MC (who emailed yesterday to ask that her paycheck be deposited into her bank account–Boss said that he’d do it as soon as he heard from her either in person or by phone, so then she started phoning friends and asking them to call here and ask for her check).
He still breathed a sigh of relief, though, when I actually showed up at the office yesterday morning.
Nonetheless, she seems absolutely unwilling to face my boss. She has repeatedly tried to get her paycheck via some chicken-shit means, and my boss has repeatedly informed her that only two avenues will end in cold hard cash: either she speaks to him on the phone, or she speaks to him in person.
After that, we don’t hear anything for awhile.
Then she tries some other chicken-shit means to get her money.
I say if she still hasn’t grown the balls to face him (at least by phone) by next week, my boss gives the check to ME as a wedding gift.
