About a week ago, newspapers reported that after JFK’s assassination, Jackie sought advice from a priest and mentioned that she had contemplated suicide. She said this, apparently, not in confession, although in an extremely private conversation.
To make a long story short, the priest wrote what she said in his journal/diary. When he died, his papers went to a library, where historians and journalist could browse through them. Sp, not surprisingly, there are her personal thoughts in my morning paper.
I’m surprised there wasn’t more controversy about this.
Doesn’t this violate some rule of the Church?
