I see that in the new season, the charactor Bud has lost part of his leg in combat.

Has the actor who plays the charactor suffered an injury and they made allowance for it, or is it just a plot device.

I’ve not followed the show too closely the last part of the season so may have missed out on something important.

It was really creepy seeing the pan-up and then seeing that Bud lost his leg. That was FREAKY. Anyway, I didn’t follow the plot that closely either (caught up with it in reruns), I don’t think Patrick Labyorteaux really lost his leg. IMDB trivia would say something about that, probably.
