I never thought the Counting Crows had any edge too them at all, but having watched a couple of those videos, I now know what the Counting Crows would sound like with their edge blunted. He’s OK, I guess, but he sounds exactly like a million other generic 90s influenced singer-songwriters.
Pro-tip to the OP. If you are trying to get people to listen to (watch, read, whatever) your favorite artist, don’t oversell them. It turns people off, and no artist, no matter how great, can live up to the gushing hype of their more enthusiastic fans.

Thank you for the good advice! I try not to. I just love James so much that I can’t help but want to share everything that I find of him. I know that not everyone will go for him and if they don’t, that is okay because we are all different, but first people have to know of something before they will know if they are missing out on anything good or not.
