I watched the show last night, and unsurprisingly, your characterization is false. It was after they “eliminated all chance of vibrations and energy signals” that the tests showed no results. Your own link says as much.
The greatest response occurred when they were in the same room with the plant and standing/sitting right next to the polygraph machine. In other words, when there was the highest chance the machine could be affected by their own movements. But in your opinion, only this test is the valid one. The subsequent tests, which showed no response, are invalid because… ? If they repeated the test 99 more times each time got no response, would you still consider the positive result the only valid one and the 99 negative results the anomaly?
Scientific testing (inasmuch as the Mythbusters experiment was “scientific”) does not mean “run the test a bunch of times and pick out the results you like.” And I’m fairly certain that by now you understand that, even though you strain so furiously not to.

Why the other tests, with different machines, and different media were run I will never know. Trying to get a response from Yogurt or spit is nonsense. They had duplicated the experiments by Cleve many years ago which showed thought could influence plants. As I said the other stuff was nonsense. It is common knowledge that plants respond to kindness by every avid gardener. This thought transfer was proven and has been proved many times, there is no question about it. That alone should win the million from Randi. Read about this and find out the truth, what could you be afraid of.
You get the million from the Million Dollar Challenge by filling out the application form coherently, having your proposal accepted, fulfilling said proposal, and passing the test that you co-create.
You know this, because you have been told this.

Please show at least two of these preliminary tests out of the “plenty” that have been attempted. No one ever has, so you be the first to find this elusive material. Without the material on the tests we can not know whether Randi overruled them or not, now can we?

As I stated earlier plenty of research has proven true. The research has been published in qualified scientific journals just like all other research. I can’t say how many believe or dis-believe it, I do know the number who believe is growing.35 years ago there were only a couple of scientists researching near death experiences. Today there are dozens of scientists and almost a dozen universities engaged in near death experience research. The reason for the increase in research is because the research shows NDEs are real and show evidence of life after death. I can’t possible look it all up for you. But I did give a cite already in the thread you can read.
Just plain logic will do fine. You make application, you get called for a preliminary, a contract is agreed upon, the test is attempted, you pass or fail. Now tell me at which point Randi does not have any say in what happens. You make it out to be very easy, if it was the million would be gone.
Randi has the say in everything, including the final say. That is the truth, that is reality.
If research is real then why haven’t all these scientists went for this Randi prize? I am sure they could use a million dollars for their research. As scientists they could write the procedures that would win them the money. I mean if the goal is to show ANY spiritual proof of ANY kind this seems like it would be a slam dunk. Man if I had any of this psychic ability or proof of NDE I would be all over this and get me some easy money.

You are wrong. Show us at what point Randi has any say in the matter. Most of the time, he isn’t involved in the setting up of the test, and he usually isn’t there when the test is done. Understand this-no one has even passed the preliminary test yet. The results for all the tests are available for examination, and in every single one, the participants have failed unquestionably. No decision to make, no ruling to overturn-just abject failure.
I can’t believe I’ve been following this thread. Time to briefly de-lurk. Anyways, lekatt, you keep saying that things have been proven time and again, but completely fail to back up those claims. I don’t think anyone here is part of your circle of psychics, so when you say that all these things have been proven time and time again, we are not familiar with the evidence. It is up to you to provide the evidence, since your opinion and memory is not the same as facts. Can you see why others are not inclined to take things you “remember seeing on TV” at face value?
Could you provide some cites about the MDC forcing its participants into unreasonable tests, or changing the results after the fact? For something that you take as a given, I haven’t seen any evidence to that effect. You mentioned, I think, that you’ve been looking for 20 years, so surely you must have a few cites. Can you perhaps give us some examples of applications that were rejected when they should not have been?

FYI, final means “last.” As in “none shall follow.” If I have the final say, no one can come along and override it. It is incoherent to assert that two entities have the final say.
The protocol is agreed upon. The results are unambiguous. There is no judging. There is no voting. There is no final say.
If there were such a thing as psychic ability this would be the case. The person says what their ability is then demonstrates it. Simple. Since nobody has done it we must conclude that nobody has psychic ability, which is the point of the contest.
