James St. James-radio gossip guy also ClubKids/PartyMonster guy?

I’ve only seen bits of Party Monster, the Macauley Culkin-Seth Green film about the Club Kids murder. My LD GF was going on about it today, having me look up details about what happened to the people in real life, & mentioning what a rat James St. James was (an original Club Kid who penned the book, helped in producing either that movie or the documentary of the same name, was mentored by The Village Voice’s Michael Musso, and is very very out, according to my Net research).

James St. James?!?! The flamboyant Hollywood Gossip radio guy!?!

My Net research HASN’T confirmed that’s the same fellow, but I think it would almost have to be~ So is it?

Not positive it’s the same guy you’re thinking of, but here is his Wikipedia entry which has links to his MySpace page, his blog, and a James St. James message board. It appears he lives in LA and runs some sort of production company (which produced Party Monster), so I wouldn’t be surprised that it’s the same guy.

You have a Lesbian Danish girlfriend? Does she look like Brigitte Nielsen perchance? (I always saw you as more of a Queen Latifah or Kirstie Alley sort of guy- some girl with a michievous streak and some junk-in-the-trunk but who cleans up nice and hold her own in a serious conversation. But, to each his own.

And yes, it is the same guy. He’s a freelance columnist, gossip maven wannabe, writer, and (if only IMO) first order scum. He’s also the character that catty gay assistant Marc St. James (ne’ Wiener) is named for on Ugly Betty.

Wait, I thought this was the Radio James St. James: http://www.jimmyhollywood.com/

They could not possibly be the same person, if for no other reason than I don’t think Club Kid James St. James is capable of holding the kind of job where you have to show up every day and do work.

About 30 minutes after I posted the OP, I turned on the radio & who should be on it!

And you are correct. I just listened to a sample show on the site.

Lucky you.

If you want to know more, watch the documentary that came out a few years earlier. It’s also not very good but it’s way better than the McCaulkin mess.
