I was not aware he was a child molester. I only knew that he worked with and helped raise money for an outdoor sports group for disabled people that I was involved with. The people we worked with were adults and he helped us with our skiing program.

Sorry to hear about this. A little conflicted because of his legal troubles, but I did enjoy his work. Mostly, I remember him for a pre-accident role in a TV movie called “Paper Man” (Not about an overgrown newsboy.) and a few eps of one of my old TV favorites “Wiseguy”.
Raise money for special sports your whole life, do they call you Special Fundraiser? No. But molest one 11 year old. . .

A talented actor. I’ve sometimes wondered if, along with his visible maiming, he also suffered a brain injury in the motorcycle accident. Perhaps that resulted in his losing control with the 11-year-old.
Not that I’m making excuses for a child molester. There is no excuse. But still, I wonder.

It’s possible. He also was extremely drunk apparently. All could stem from his horrific injury. It’s possible to condemn his actions and also feel sympathy for what he went through.
