Or so the makers of nearly every movie she makes wants you to think. If I hadn’t been told otherwise I’d have thought she was a babe with a great personality and sense of humor and big, brown, soulful eyes. I’m real glad the movie people corrected me.
I saw something else where Helena Bonham Carter was the supposed to be the ugly duckling cousin. Ooops! I blew it again.

Then there’s that new movie where the guy from “American Pie” is the homely friend. Right.
I liked The Truth About Cats and Dogs, but couldn’t believe they cast her as the ugly/homely one. She’s cute! Based on looks, I’d take her over Uma Thurman any day (too scrawny). Ms. Garofalo does seem to have an attitude problem, however.
